SVHOA Board Meeting May 22, 2001

Meeting commenced at 7:35 p.m.

Board Members in attendance: Brian Brick, Jill Warner, Jennie Brick, and Toby Abom.

Board Members absent: Denise Hodges.

Other attendees: Benita Soldberg

1. Minutes

April Meeting Minutes were not available.

2. Old/Continuing Business



Bookkeeper's Report: March and April financials were presented. Jennie discussed upcoming expenses.

Tree Dedication: No further developments.

Speed Trailer: Still no further updates, Brian will follow-up.

Website: We have paid to have a host and it should be up and running very soon. Brian agreed to be the board liaison with Carole.

Steve Murphy: Parks/Open Areas Update: Brian will email everyone Steve's update. Toby reported that a garden at the Covington Circle might not be feasible due to the City's requirements for soil testing and other red tape. Sheffield Village Crier: Brian will edit the June issue. It will be opened up for Villager community ads- non commercial- for free. One person has shown an interest in becoming editor and Brian will get further information.

3. New Business

Garage Sale: Fliers will be delivered to everyone regarding putting stuff out for the sale. Brian Kelly is organizing everything.

Picnic 2001: The garage sale will determine the budget for the annual picnic.

580 Sound Wall Project: Caltrans is putting up sound walls along 580 in San Leandro. Brian and Jill will be the contact people to keep up with any developments that may affect the village.

Liquor Store: Champagne Liquor has new owners and Estudillo Estates residents aren't happy with the longer hours. They may need help with petitions and Jill agreed to contact the EE board person.

Other business: Benita presented an issue regarding a resident of upper Revere who has tapped into a city pipe that is pouring their bathroom waste into San Leandro Creek. Brian agreed to contact Pat Mossberg regarding what steps can be taken to stop the dumping.

The meeting adjourned at 8:35 p.m.
