SVHOA Board Meeting August 20, 2002Meeting commenced at 7:05 p.m. Board Members in attendance: President Brian Brick, Treasurer Jennie Brick, Plans Chair Gail Rappl, Vice-President Jill Warner and Parks Chair Matt Cronin Other attendees: Joe McClintock and Rich Palmer
Minutes from the July board meeting were unavailable. Bookkeeper's Report- Jennie Brick presented the June financial statements. Jennie made a motion that the names of homeowners who had not paid their dues be printed in the next issue of the Crier. The motion was seconded and unanimously approved. "Tuscany Hill" Development- Brian Brick received a letter from developer Ed Patmont presenting the option of the main entrance to the development be through Lockard instead of Covington. Annual Picnic- Gail Rappl said the picnic plans were going along very well and that the expenses were expected to be approximately $1500. SVHOA received $725 for the garage sale so the picnic would be underfunded from the garage sale but remained on budget per the 2002 Annual Budget for expenses. Parks Update- Matt Cronin discussed that there were trees at Milford Park that need trimming and he is still owed $300 for the cleaning of Onset Park. Plans Report- Gail Rappl sent a letter to the homeowner on Marlow regarding painting their newly erected fence. She had received no response. Tax Refund- the tax refunds from the Oakland School Board will come from Lewis Cohen's office. Scholarship- it was moved, seconded and approved that the same amount that was given for the scholarship in 2001 should be given to the two awardees in 2002. (it was later approved to give $150 per scholar for 2002 recipients via email votes) Post Boxes- the two post boxes in Sheffield Village have been removed by the Postmaster due to "lack of volume of mail". Many Villagers were unhappy about this development. Misc.- Brian suggested that the Village consider putting up sturdy boxes to hold Village fliers. Matt agreed to look into a box at Office Depot. A special thank you was given to the "angel" who put up the doggie bag dispenser at Milford Park. At 7:58 pm the meeting adjourned
