Trespassing IncidentR Palmer of 3007 Roxbury reported on a sequence of incidents involving residents of the 55 Marlow apts. as well as a parking problem near the apartments, caused by improper storage of the landlord’s property in the tenants’ parking spaces. He made a police report. He notes that this has been going on for years. Don will call the city regarding the parking. Matt will call the landlord and will follow up with a certified letter. Auto BurglaryDon reports a car burglary occurring at 3:15 AM last night (Mon night). A black male in a Cadillac stole some stereo equipment from a car parked on Marlow near Don’s house. OPD was notified and were able to apprehend the burglar and recover the stolen sound equipment. ParksMatt reports that trimmings are done from Roxbury. Onset tree trimmings will be done this weekend. ConstructionResident Gene Gordon discussed and showed the blue prints of the addition to 306 Covington. She states permits were obtained but had forgotten to secure approval from the board. The project is done. A den was added to back of the house. Requests approval. Motion passed for members to individually look at the project, and then decide the course of action at the next meeting. Resident Margie Winenberg discussed and showed blue prints of the additions to 239 Covington. She states permits are obtained and had forgotten to get approval prior to starting construction. The project is ¾ done. Replaced concrete at front entrance, extended roofline to cover the porch, added 14 feet to back to extend an existing bedroom. Requests approval. Motion passed for members to look at the project, and then decide the course of action at the next meeting. Resident John Caruso discussed and showed drawings of proposed 5’ addition to the back of 287 Covington – expanding master bedroom, and adding another bedroom. Expects construction to start next month. Sally will look at the plans and make a recommendation at the next meeting. Residents Geno and Karren Yun discussed and showed blueprints of 14 Danbury. They stated that they had submitted their plans to the Board and the City in March of 2002. A long discussion ensued with motions proposed and passed as follows: 1)
To reaffirm the previous Boards approval of plans as presented, and to
request of homeowner to work with the Plans Chair to improve the appearance of
the house to be in harmony with the neighborhood through the selection of
exterior finishes. 2) To apologize to the owners on behalf of the Board and to confirm that they did follow the process. Regular Board MeetingsDates for future monthly meetings set for the fourth Tuesday of every month at 6:30 PM until the springtime change and at 7:30 PM thereafter. Assistant to the TreasurerThe board will look into the bylaws to see if the board can elect a new member outside of the annual meeting.
